At The Art House Social, we organise events placing emerging artists alongside those with established careers. Our next event will run from the 3rd - 19th July. 

This two week event will draw in art collectors and enthusiasts from Essex and beyond and we are looking for build a cohort of artists showcasing different styles and techniques. If you think your artwork can offer something unique to the exhibition we’d love to hear from you.

During the event we will be hosting a range of activities to bring in audiences and display all of the skills our artists have to offer, if you you’d like to get involved with events during the exhibition please add this to your application. This could be live drawing, performance art, workshops or kids activities.


The application process is completely free but unfortunately we can’t accept everyone.  If you are not accepted for space on a board, you may be added to a reserves list. 

 

PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION


In order to run the event smoothly, it is essential that you adhere to the following times. While certain exceptions can be made, if you cannot make these deadlines please do not apply. 


The dates of the show will be: Friday 3rd July - Sunday 19th July


Your attendance over the course of the show is not essential but is advised. Past shows have proven that having the artists present is great for sale, and fans of your work are always grateful to meet you. 


Artwork can be arranged to be delivered via courier or dropped off in person. For delivery, please send artwork tracked an address with be sent if you are accepted 

(The Art House Social is not responsible for the safe arrival of work to the gallery)

 

  • Drop off date Saturday 20th June
  •  All work must be collected on 1st August 

 

In order to give artists the best change to showcase their talent, we provide wall space for you to submit as many or few pieces as you choose. You can fill this space however you like and replace sold work during the show. In your application please select your preferred board size, depending on availability we may offer you  different size to the one you have applied for. Pieces submitted that exceed the limits of your board may not be hung.

A small area will also be provided to sell pre-packaged, pre-priced prints. This space is for all exhibiting artists so we may not be able to display every piece you bring. 

We will manage all sales and shipping where necessary. Commission is charged at a very competitive 25% on sales.


You will get the choice of three board sizes:

Large Board: H240cm × W90cm – £65

Medium Board: H210cm × W76cm – £50

Small Board: H240cm × W32cm – £35


Optional Social Media package upgrade: £25

This package is mainly aimed at emerging artists and includes:

An artists bio which will be added to our social media

A promotional video highlighting you, your artwork, and the event

A promotional video made by one of the team about your work once hung for the exhibition.

A month on the the Art House Social Showroom, our online selling platform.

this will allow sales of your artwork even after the show has ended.


Insurance (optional)

 

You may wish to cover your work with an insurance policy for the duration of the show. The Art House holds no responsibility for loss or damage of work caused over this period.   


SOCIAL MEDIA AND PROMOTION


In the run up to the show we will be putting out various promotional posts and the more you shout about it, the better it’ll be. You will be provided with more information on creative ways to promote the event along with an image of the poster from the event. 


Your fee goes to paying for the promotion of the exhibition and for the events put on during the show. Advertisement is done both locally via posters and flyers, as well as online. We will also be talking to local businesses to help promote the event further. 


If you have chosen to add on the premium package, we ask that you book in a time to come to the space from DATES AND TIMES to do your promotional video. We ask you to bring an example of your work for us to talk about and if you have any creative ideas you’d like us to roll with, please let us know. 


MESSAGES AND UPDATES 


You will be added into a read-only WhatsApp group where we will remind you of deadlines and informed of important updates.


If you wish, we can also add you to our artists community group chat to give you a chance to connect with other artists.

By submitting your application you are confirming that you have read and understood the terms and conditions outlined above. While we try to offer flexibility and understanding where necessary, failure to adhere to relevant dates and times may result in cancellation of your place exhibiting with us and payments may not be returned.
